Good breezy weather on a mid week kick off. Reds started off the game brightly, playing off short passes from the back which differs from the usual midweek tactics of lobbing Long balls from goal kick.
Scoreline remains close with Reds taking a slim lead to 4-2. Some nice header goals and team goals from the Reds. Whites never gave up and started to take the games into their hands. Playing the ball around faster with good off the ball movement. That soon translates into result as Irvin scores through an unintended header, and also a nice goal from Hao Lun thumping a second ball into an empty net when Red’s goal keeper went off the line to try to close off the angle from the striker.
Whites took the lead for the first time in the evening and went into a 7-6 lead and threaten to snatch victory on this day from the Reds. Last goal was called, and Reds equalises when Delon was through on game and force a save, and Jeff follows up slotting home Low into the net.
Game ended 7-7, and the spoils was shared. In my view, a fair result with both teams matching each other throughout the game.
agree with Ray that it was a fair results in the overall play. Reds started to be on the back foot when we started to lose too many personal battles on the pitch and lack aggression moving forward. And YES to the short passes and movements !!!
Wilson did play his captain role in this game and well assisted by deputy sean in getting the team into some pattern of play and shape to equalize and lead.
