Whites started well with Jeff in goal controlling the game from the back with Ivo and runners all around with swift counter attacks. Whites raced to a 5-0 lead. Whites got complacent with and Reds came back with good pressing scored 3 goals in succession to make it a game at 5-3. Whites settled back with pressing from the front and Reds also had chances. Game ended at 8-5 and overall an enjoyable game.

Whites had more structure and better team play. And some of Reds normally outstanding players had an off day. At 5-3 it looked like reds could make a come back but White’s captain Jeff marshalled the team with discipline and their lead held fast.

One of those nights I enjoyed captaining a team. Everyone pitched in and it resulted with some great link up plays and team goals. Conceded the 3 goals unnecessarily because we tried to be cute and started to make unnecessary mistakes by overplaying and rushed keeper's throws to the middle of the pitch while we were 5-0 up. Only when the team realized it didn't work and got back to the short interplay, we got another 3 goals to wrap up and control the game.
Collectively, everyone did well and special mentions to Ray who was immerse upfront rewarded with 4 goals, Khai had his running boots/energizer batteries on (why Reds never put a man-mark on him I just don't understand), Kenny was ever present.

Well played by whites. Reds did look quite lackluster - myself included. Good marshalling and organisation by Capt Salleh. Khai was sensational as usual and dominated the pace of the game. Motm for me goes to ray who had an exceptional night with 4 goals and an assist.
