Reds started nicely leading by two goals by some good interplay from the back with Alex and Ivo doing what ball-playing defenders do. They opened up the Whites by picking the right passes and keeping possession. Some form of a game pattern started to take emerged while the Whites continued to hussle. The Whites hard work paid off as they kept within distance and continued their own assault. Mistakes at the back and chances not taken by the Reds led to Whites taking the lead at 4-3, then the equalizer and then Reds pulled ahead at 6-5 with about 15 mins to go.
Reds then started to lose positional discipline; the lack of fitness and the eagerness to attack while already leading exposed the midfield and the flanks which allowed Whites to equalized and then put two more goals for the final score of 8-6. An unfortunate game where Reds could have held to possession and closed the game.
Btw, Andrew is a good forward and took his half chances well, calling this out for future references.
It was a close game throughout and goals kept coming as both sides kept creating opportunities. After 40 minutes, score was tied at 4-all. In the last 5 minutes, White edged ahead and won the game 8-6.
